ColorPlugin for Photoshop: best practices on Youtube

In this video series, Brecht Ameye, Prepress Coordinator at our customer Athena Graphics, is giving insights in his daily work with GMG ColorPlugin for Adobe Photoshop.

Part 1: ChannelRemover

With ChannelRemover, individual color channels in an image can be removed completely or selectively, while the color impression always remains consistent. As a result, complete images as well as individual sections or layers can be adapted to target color spaces and printing processes with just one click and prepared in a process-safe manner with as few channels as possible.

Part 2: ColorConversion

ColorConversion uses GMG’s superior MX technology for color-accurate conversion between a range of color spaces. In the pro variant, self-created profiles can also be used alongside standard color spaces.

Part 3: ChannelChanger

With ChannelChanger, individual channels can be exchanged completely or selectively and, for example, process colors such as CMYK can be replaced with spot colors to match the color with just a few clicks. In this way, complete images as well as individual sections or layers can be adapted to target color spaces and printing processes.

Part 4: Combining all functions

GMG ColorPlugin makes manual color corrections and tedious work-arounds redundant and gives you enormous time savings at the pre-press stage.
