How to make a new MX4 Cheatlist

Cheat list contone proof

Make sure printer is calibrated
In Profile Editor􀃆 new mx4 (select correct printer/limited gamut/measurement
device and chart)
Options􀃆 Settings, set achievable dE to 0
import or measure target values (import txt, import ICC or measure press sheet)
verify target values are smooth
tools/compare gamut/target values (check for problems)
calculate with TARGET values (measure/calculate with target values)
save as􀃆 target_proofer_dpi_media_1.mx4
Go to colorproof/flexoproof. Create a manual job and print ECI using new mx4
(make sure printer settings are correct). ITERATION 1
Go back to profile editor
Measure proof as CURRENT value
Save
Check statistic
If statistic not sufficient (avg. dE > 1) calculate with Target AND CURRENT values
SAVE AS _2
Go to colorproof/flexoproof. Open the job you just printed and change the 1 to a
2 in the color profile name. Print. ITERATION 2
Measure current values
Save
Check statistic
If statistic not sufficient (avg. dE > 1) calculate with Target AND CURRENT values
Calculate with Target AND CURRENT values
SAVE AS _3
Go to colorproof/flexoproof. Open the job you just printed and change the 2 to a
3 in the color profile name. Print. ITERATION 3
Continue with Iterations until satisfied with dE values.
SAVE.
Print a visual test chart (if available) and compare with Press Sheet (if available).
Perform visual edits as needed
