Note: This applies to hardware-based licence systems only, and not to online-based licences.
You can check if your dongle is connected under Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
It appears as device ‘USB CrypToken’.
If it is not appearing, please check your dongle is physically plugged into the USB port.
For virtual machines, the latest driver can be downloaded at the link below.

When plugged into your USB port, your dongle should show a red light.
If a red light is not showing, and your software is showing a licence error, please try the following:
- Shut down the PC.
- Move the dongle to a different USB port, at the opposite side of the PC (e.g. if it’s at the front, move it to the back).
- Turn the PC back on and relaunch the software.
If the dongle does not work, and no red light is active, on more than one PC, please contact GMG support for a replacement..
