Create a project

GMG OpenColor profiles are calculated within a project which contains all the parameters about the printing process, the media, ink settings etc. and is based on a characterization.

1. Click + New Project in the toolbar.
2. Enter a name.
3. Select the printing process and select the media.
4. Define a characterization by using one of the options in the right window pane: From Database to load a characterization from the database; Import or Measure.
5. Click Save & Close.

How to create a project starting from a characterization

1. Open your characterization from the database list by a double click.
2. Under Tools & Actions, select Create Project to create a new project from a characterization.
   
3. Define the proofing condition by clicking the button From Database in the right window pane and selecting the printer-media combination.
   
4. Click Save & Close.
