Version 2.2 - October 13, 2025
Convert colors without a precalculated separation rule
What if no precalculated separation rule exists, or spot color requirements in flexo printing change to meet customer demands? Until now, this meant switching to OpenColor to adjust your project and calculate a new rule — a time-consuming process. Now you can handle these cases directly in ColorPlugin: A new tab in the conversion dialog lets you manually select up to six target inks from your output project and create a separation rule on the fly. Once created, you can fine-tune the separation details just like with precalculated rules, ensuring precision, efficiency, and flexibility even in the most demanding workflows. Learn more at Dynamic conversion without precalculated separation rule.
Replace assigned ICC profiles with profiles from GMG OpenColor
If the selected output project for dynamic conversion contains CMYK, you can now replace the ICC profile assigned to a document in the conversion dialog’s "Advanced Settings" by enabling the corresponding checkbox. The new ICC profile will automatically be provided by GMG OpenColor, ensuring consistent and accurate color management across different substrates and printing conditions while reducing manual adjustments.
End of Service Life of GMG ColorPlugin v1: We hereby announce the End of Service Life (EOSL) for GMG ColorPlugin 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4. The EOSL means that all support has been discontinued for these versions with immediate effect. Hence, support calls via the service hotline, email, or the trouble ticket system related to that version will no longer be accepted.
