How to export spot colors as CxF
- In the Projects tab, double-click the relevant project to open it.
- Open the Proof view and scroll to the Ink/Characterizations section.
Click Export Spot Colors next to the characterization from which you want to export spot colors.
Note: If an error message appears after clicking the export button, your project may not be published yet. Publish the project before proceeding.
Select the colors you want to export and click Activate to enable their checkboxes.
Tip: Use the search filter in the upper right to quickly filter long spot color lists.
- When satisfied with your selection, click OK to confirm.
A file dialog opens. - Enter a name for your export file and select Color Exchange Format 3.0 (*.cxf) as the file type.
- Navigate to your preferred destination folder and click Save.
Limitations
Due to legal restrictions, CxF export is limited to custom spot colors only. Spectral values based on PANTONE® sources cannot be exported, even if you applied a curve correction to them.
