In GMG OpenColor, a spot color library serves as a collection of all spot colors that might be printed on the specified media type and under the specified printing condition. GMG OpenColor comes with a set of commonly used spot color libraries on coated and uncoated media.
Spot color libraries are marked with the following spot color icon in the Characterization list:
You can double-click to open one of your own libraries. Preinstalled GMG spot color libraries are read-only and cannot be opened. However, you can duplicate a library and then open it to adjust it to your needs.
Available functions:
- Browse and search the spot color library
- Double-click a spot color to edit its target value or target gradation
- Add spot colors by importing measurements, entering an LAB value, or measuring from the print product or a color strip
- Rename spot colors
- Delete spot colors
- Change the target mode
- Select a gradation
