Sometimes, your artwork may contain spot colors that are not included in your source project's library. In this case, a Please select... button is shown next to them. You then need to define how such unrecognized spot colors should be handled. You can either exclude them from color management, or you can map them to known spot colors from your source project.
How to map an input spot color channel for conversion:
- Click the Please select... button next to the unrecognized spot color that you want to map before color management.
The channel mapping dialog will open. - To map the unknown spot color to a known spot color from your source project's library, select the relevant spot color from the list.
- Click OK to confirm your choice.
- The selected spot color to be used for conversion will be displayed next to the spot color name.
How to exclude an input spot color channel from conversion:
- Click the Please select... button next to the unrecognized spot color that you want exclude from color management.
The channel mapping dialog will open. - To exclude the unknown spot color from conversion, activate the Exclude Spot Color checkbox.
- Click OK to confirm your choice.
- The excluded spot color will be grayed out and marked with Excluded.
