Click the Printers page to see all printers available in the connected GMG ColorProof instance. In three different views, you easily get an overview which printer needs to be recalibrated or is in error status.
How to change the loaded media type or media width
Load a new media type or a new media width in the printer and select it on the printer panel. To reflect this change in GMG ColorProof, you can use GMG ColorProof GO from any computer, go to the Printers list, select the printer and click the Change Media button.
Select the same media type and media size that you selected on the printer panel. That's it!
How to recalibrate a printer
We recommend to activate the following option in GMG ColorProof: System > General > Default View Settings > Close AutoCali Wizard after Successful Calibration. Otherwise, the printer calibration status will not be updated after the calibration and remains in status "calibrating".
On the Printers page, click the Calibrate button to start the calibration. This will start the AutoCali Wizard in ColorProof and change the status of the printer to Calibrating. As soon as the calibration is complete, the status will change to Ready again.
- You can also cancel the calibration (e.g. in case you need to change the media first) by clicking the Cancel button.
- The calibration states and messages from ColorProof are displayed for each calibration set so you can monitor the calibration process.
- Upon completion, the result is shown together with the local date and time, so it’s always clear when the printer was last calibrated:
