If your licenses are not displayed in the Application Service, cannot be loaded, or appears as expired even though they should still be valid, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Restart the Application Service
- Open Task Manager.
- Go to Services.
- Locate Application Service.
- Right-click it and select Restart.
- Wait 1–2 minutes for the service to restart and the licenses to become available.
If the license is still not recognized
- Install the latest version of the Application Service.
- Restart the Application Service again and check the License Overview.
Check the license connection
If you are using a physical license dongle:
- Make sure the dongle is properly connected to a USB port and displayed in the Device Manager.
If you are using online licensing and the serial number appears as 0.000.000.000, the issue may be related to your internet connection (which is indicated by an error in the UI) or firewall/proxy configuration. Firewall configuration: List of required ports and host names
If the license file cannot be loaded
If your licenses are missing from the Application Service overview, you cannot manually load a license file, or you see one of the following errors:
[0:0]Missing dongleID or license version
install the latest Application Service version as described above.
Contact GMG Support
If the licenses are still not recognized, cannot be loaded, or continue to appear as expired after completing the steps above, contact GMG Support.
Have your serial number available to help speed up the investigation. For hardware-based licenses, the serial number is located on the USB dongle. It can also be found in the License Overview of the Application Service.
