Check whether the dongle is connected
You can check whether your dongle is recognized by Windows under:
Control Panel > Devices and Printers
The dongle should appear as USB CrypToken.
If it does not appear, make sure that the dongle is securely connected to a USB port.
Virtual machines
If you are using a virtual machine, make sure the latest dongle driver is installed. The driver can be downloaded here:
Driver setup for CRYPTO-BOX SC, XS, Versa
Check the dongle LED
When the dongle is connected correctly, a red light should be visible.
If the red light is not active and your software displays a license error, try the following:
- Shut down the PC completely.
- Disconnect the dongle.
- Connect the dongle to a different USB port, preferably on the opposite side of the PC.
For example, if it was connected to a USB port at the front, try a port at the back. - Start the PC again.
- Launch the software and check whether the license is recognized.
If the dongle still does not work
If the dongle is not recognized and the red light remains off, test the dongle on another PC.
If the dongle does not work and the red light does not activate on more than one PC, the dongle may be defective.
In this case, please contact GMG Support to request a replacement dongle.
