GMG OpenColor is the a profiling software to accurately predict the overprinting behavior and color interplay while requiring only little measurement data. OpenColor profiles are calculated with the settings that are defined in a project. Projects are based on a characterization.
Projects
As in real life, each packaging product can be stored and managed within a project folder. A project folder contains all data (such as color libraries and characterizations) as a link.
The first tab in GMG OpenColor lists all your projects.
From here there are options to directly create a new project, characterization, test chart or to open the measurement dialog.
Database
The database lists all OpenColor resources: characterizations, test charts, gradations, output conditions, media, and profiles. The upper right search box allows to filter the OpenColor resources.
