You can define global settings specifically for proofing. Define the settings carefully, especially when using a dynamic profile creation, as the settings cannot be changed in GMG ColorProof.
- Proofing Condition
You can select a default proofing condition which is always displayed for selection in the Tools & Actions panel and used when publishing a project for dynamic profiling. You can still select another proofing condition in the project. This option is helpful if you mostly used just one and the same proofing condition across projects. - Profile Connection Space
Default for the Profile Connection Space that can be set in the project (in the Proofing Condition group). If you are using delta E 76 for proof verification, it is recommended to use Lab as profile connection space. If you are using delta E 2000, it is recommended to use DIN99. - Dim to Fit Proof Media
This option is useful if the white point of the production media is brighter than the proofing media, resulting in an out-of-gamut white point.
If the option is selected, the brightness (not the color) of the white point of the target color space (describing the print production) will be lowered to the brightness of the proofing media. Select this option if the visual appearance is more important for you than a proof verification via measured color patches. The option reduces clipping in the highlights and results in a general darker color of the proof.
If the option is not selected, the proof profile will be calculated with the original white point of the target color space. - M0/M1/M2 Validation
Activates a validation which checks whether the same measurement condition is used throughout the project.
