How to measure a test chart

1. From the main menu, select the option +Measure.
   
2. Select the test chart you want to measure from the drop-down lists on the left.
3. If you are using an X-Rite measuring device in scan mode, you can add a check mark to the 'Plausibility Check' option to use this X-Rite feature to detect faulty scans. If the plausibility check failed, you will be notified.
4. If you are using an automated chart reader, insert the first page into the measuring device.
5. Click Start Measurement.
   
6. The measuring device will be initialized for measuring. Follow the instructions, such as moving the measuring device to the corners of the test chart, to prepare the measurement. 
7. During measurement you will see a preview of the measured patches compared to the target values.
   

The measurement of a test chart can form the basis for creating a characterization.
