When creating a design proof that should remain independent of the final production substrate, you may need to remove the paper tint from an OpenColor proof. This ensures the proof reflects only the color data, without the visual influence of the target paper.
Dynamic proof profiling
Creating proof profiles dynamically also allows for an easy removal of the paper tint, if required. To do this, simply turn off the paper tint simulation in a ColorProof job or workflow.

Static proof profiling
To remove the paper tint from a static profile, you must first adjust the calculated profile in OpenColor and then use the modified profile in ColorProof.
Open the project in OpenColor.
Under Finalize, click Edit for the profile you want to modify.
Navigate to the Paper Tint tab.
Set all Current values to zero.
-
Save your changes.
After saving, the profile will display an indicator showing that the paper tint has been changed. You can now export the modified profile and use it in ColorProof to print a proof without paper tint. It is not necessary to turn off the paper tint simulation in ColorProof (and technically, this is not possible for static profiles).
