As substrate proofs are typically printed on custom media, you need to select a parent paper that most closely matches your media. This ensures that the Cali Creation Wizard applies the appropriate default settings, such as ink density, helping to prevent overinking and achieve optimal print quality.
How to set up a custom medium
- Go to the Database tab. In the Media column next to your printer, click Add, then choose Add Custom Media.
- Type a name for the new media and select the media sizes you want to make available.
- Click Save and Close.
- Find the media you just created, right-click it, and select Advanced.
- In Advanced Media Settings, choose a Parent Paper. Pick the one that most closely matches your media from the list.
