Dynamic profiling enables GMG ColorServer to request conversion profiles and spot color variants from GMG OpenColor as needed. You can access and modify separation settings directly in the ColorServer conversion template, including the ink configuration for your digital printer. This flexibility lets you use one conversion template for multiple ink set variants, reducing the number of required hotfolders and resources.
Dynamic conversion calculates new separations when required, aiming to minimize the number of output channels. In contrast, static spot color conversion uses the predefined separation rule from OpenColor without recalculating separations.
Dynamic conversion templates can be created manually or automatically by GMG SmartProfiler.
