GMG ColorProof provides a restore function that allows you to easily restore your system from a backup file.
Please note that environment backups are version-dependent. Therefore, a backup can only be used for restoration within the same major version and cannot be restored to an older or newer major version. For example, an environment backup created in version 5.17.0 can be restored in version 5.17.1, but not in version 5.18.0.
Steps
- Choose: System > Environment Backup > Restore....
- A dialog file opens. Navigate to the directory where your backup is stored.
- Select the backup file and click Open.
- A confirmation message appears, informing you that the restoration process will overwrite all current settings. Confirm with Yes and All.
- GMG ColorProof starts the restoration process. You can monitor the progress in the dialog box.
- Once the restoration is complete, click OK to close the dialog box.
- GMG ColorProof has now been successfully restored from the selected backup file.
