Version dependencies for Remote Proofing

Remote proofing in ColorProof requires strict version compatibility between the sender and receiver systems. As a compatibility rule, the first 3 digits of the ColorProof versions must be the same.

Supported Combinations

Remote proofing works when both systems share the same A.B.C version, even if the build number differs:

• Sender: 5.16.0.52
  Receiver: 5.16.0.96

• Sender: 5.16.0.96
  Receiver: 5.16.0.52
  ✔ Supported
• Sender: 5.16.0
  Receiver: 5.16.1
  ✘ Not supported

Even though the versions appear close, the change from 0 → 1 in the third segment breaks compatibility.
