The measuring device is automatically recognized by the software after the USB cable is connected and the operating system (Windows or macOS) has detected it.
If your measuring device does not appear after connecting the USB cable, first check whether it is recognized by the operating system. Using a USB cable other than the one supplied by the manufacturer, for example with a length of more than 1.5 m, can cause connection issues. USB adapters to other connector types or USB hubs can also prevent the operating system from detecting the device.
Windows
Open Device Manager and look for the connected measuring device.
If your measuring device is not visible in Device Manager, install the diagnostic software provided by the device manufacturer and check the cable and all connections.
macOS
Use the diagnostic software supplied by the manufacturer to check the connection.
