The Calibration Check Upfront feature allows ColorProof to automatically determine whether your printer needs recalibration—without requiring any action from the user.
Best Practice:
We recommend that ColorProof performs a calibration check daily to ensure continued print accuracy.
If the calibration result remains within the user-defined tolerance, no further action is taken.
If the check detects that calibration is out of tolerance, the Automatic Calibration Wizard (ACW) is triggered to recalibrate the printer.
Calibration check upfront of an calibration
- ColorProof > Output: Select a calibration set.
- Scroll down to the Automatic Calibration scheduler settings:
- Select the correct printer calibration set.
- Select Calibration Check Upfront
- Define a tolerance for the average delta-E of the calibration check. When this tolerance is exceeded, the automatic calibration will start.
- Select every working day
- Select repeat interval: 1
- Choose a time to start the calibration check
- Go to ColorProof > Database: Open the corresponding calibration set
- Go to the tab Quality criteria
- Deactivate the maximum age in the calibration tolerances
