When updating to a new version...

If the required ports are free, a pop-up notification will appear in your application to inform about a new version, which and can be directly installed by clicking the button to confirm the update.

You can actively search for a new version: GMG ColorProof > upper menu > Help > Search for updates...


Alternatively, the latest software version can be downloaded from our home page. Please also check the article: Download options: web installer or full installer?

Can I skip a version?

Yes, it is possible to update directly, e.g. from GMG ColorProof version 5.14 to version 5.16

What shall I consider when updating?

• Please check if your hardware is still supported: System Requirements
• Create a backup before installing the update
• Check the licence dialogue to see whether the required licence is available: ColorProof > Help > Update license...
• Are you still using a dongle? Consider switching to onlince licensing
