Actions to perform before re-calibrating:
- Check ink cartridge expiration: Verify if any ink cartridges have expired.
If you replace an expired cartridge, note that approximately two Power Cleans are required to flush the old ink from the system. - Shake all the ink cartridges well to prevent sediment buildup and ensure optimal print quality. Regular shaking (at least once a week) is recommended.
- Check the nozzle pattern: In ColorProof go to Printer > Maintenance: Print Nozzle Pattern (or on the printer display: Select TEST PRINT > NOZZLE CHECK > PRINT)
- If any lines are disrupted, clean the print heads: In ColorProof go Printer > Maintenance: Power Clean Print Heads (or clean specific color pairs that need cleaning)
- Please deactivate the device's lateral feed adjustment: Printer display > Roll Paper > Advanced Paper Settings > Lateral Feed Adjustment > off
- Please enable RIP priority: General Settings > System Administration > Paper Feed Settings Mode > RIP Priority > ON
- Paper feed adjustment: See detailed description below.
- Align the print heads: On the Printer display go to Menu > Paper Setting > Roll paper > Print head alignment > Uni-D alignment > Auto adjustment
After completing these steps, reattempt calibration.
