The warning message "Failed to setup "Zund ..... Cut Center" due to: Material.xml in ZCC cache is missing. ZCC can't function without Material database." is caused by the material database from your Zund cutter no longer being present. It might have been deleted by an uninstall or during an update.
It's very easy to fix:
- please change the properties of your Zund cutter in RIP to the IP address instead of to a folder.
- restart RIP
- the material database from your ZCC-server will now get downloaded (this can take a few minutes)
If you only use a single ZCC-Server, then this is the preferred connection and by leaving it this way the cut jobs will get automatically transferred into ZCC without manual interaction (browsing for files...)
If you use more than 1 ZCC-Server and do NOT want to set each cutter up separately in RIP, then you can switch back to hotfolder output.
Please be aware that you then are responsible yourself to keep the material databases on the different ZCC-systems in sync as we can only pull the media database from 1 server per cutter set up in RIP.
Custom added tool settings and materials are only accessible in ProductionSuite if there is either a live connection to that ZCC-Server or if the material cache has been copied over.
Previous versions of ProductionSuite only supported a direct IP connection to ZCC-Servers. We added the option to use a hotfolder for submitting the *.ZCC files to a central location for users of multiple Zund cutters, which are not controlled by a single ZCC-Server, but each have their own. When using this method it becomes the responsibility of the operator to keep the material-lists between the ZCC stations and with ProductionSuite manually in sync.
There is no "default" materials list, as most systems are slightly different.
