PrintFactory Manager - activation and use

With PrintFactory Manager we added a new powerful tool to PrintFactory for all our SUC users (= those with annual support and upgrade contracts).

PrintFactory Manager backs up your profiles, presets, templates and other custom files to the cloud and also synchronizes them automatically between workstations. Beyond that it includes a reporting tool where all your jobs are logged and also has functionality for logging ink and media usage.

Users can access it on http://app.aurelon.com in Production / Reporting / Resources – this was added as new functionality in 5.0.13 and while it is now live, it is work in progress and we’ll be adding more features and functionality over time.

You have to enable the functionality manually once for your license and until that happened you might see in RIP the message 'cloud application unreachable'. In this case please

• log into http://app.aurelon.com using an account registered with your license
• click LICENSE
• select MANAGE LICENSE
• you should see on the right your current License Configuration. If not, then in the upper right set DATA COLLECTION to ENABLED; if it is currently ENABLED switch to DISABLED and confirm, then set it again to ENABLED (and agree to the info)
• now check on your LicenseServer the LicenseInfo and select UPDATE We're still in the roll-out phase of PrintFactory Manager which will allow cloud based information on media and substrate consumption and cost calculation, but also submit crash reports automatically should your software unexpectedly quit.
• If your firewall blocks communication then you might still see the 'cloud application unreachable' message even after enabling. As mentioned, this became available May 2016 and complete instructions and guidelines will become available shortly after. If you need to have multiple employees from your company able to access “Production” / “Reporting” / “Resources” then please forward names, email addresses and intended user rights to us, so we can add them as authorized users to your serial number.

Access rights can be granted to

[ ] administrative rights to license (e.g. can switch drivers or license options; only for administrators)
