How to request temporary licenses

If you urgently need to set up a new machine beyond GMG Germany business hours, for example to recover a crashed system, you can use our self-service to obtain a temporary license package. The package is created automatically and will be ready within minutes of your request. It provides temporary licenses for all essential GMG applications and is valid for four days. Please contact your dealer or our support team within this period to replace the temporary licenses with permanent licenses.

Important: Please note that temporary licenses are only created for empty license systems, i.e. systems without any GMG licenses.  

How to request temporary licenses via GMG Manage

Prerequisite: Systems which are not connected to GMG Manage yet, need to be connected first to be available and shown in Manage.

1. Log in to GMG Manage (manage.gmgcolor.com) and navigate to the Systems page.
2. Identify the license system you need temporary licenses for and click Request temporary licenses (key icon) at the right side of the license system row:

4. A request confirmation appears.
5. Wait 1-2 minutes and refresh the Application Service to accelerate the license transfer and display of the new licenses:
