If you urgently need to set up a new machine beyond GMG Germany business hours, for example to recover a crashed system, you can use our self-service to obtain a temporary license package. The package is created automatically and will be ready within minutes of your request. It provides temporary licenses for all essential GMG applications and is valid for four days. Please contact your dealer or our support team within this period to replace the temporary licenses with permanent licenses.
Please note that temporary licenses are only created for empty license systems, i.e. systems without any GMG licenses.
How to request temporary licenses
WAY 1: Newly setup system without licenses which are not connected to 'GMG Manage' yet.
Description:
- Open the UI of the Application Service. Choose 'Update License' in the respective GMG application. (Only with AppService version 2.3.51.704 or higher)
- In the license window, go to the Options menu and choose ‘Request temporary licenses…’
- If you are logged in as organization admin, your license overview within 'GMG Manage' will be opened with the respective dialogue.
- Confirm by clicking ‘Request’.
- A request confirmation appears.
- Wait 2-3 minutes.
- Refresh the Application Service and the temporary licenses will show.
WAY 2: Request temporary licenses for license system which are already listed in 'GMG Manage'.
Description:
- Open ‘GMG Manage’ (https://manage.gmgcolor.com)
- Go to the Systems tab.
- Click ‘Request temporary licenses’ in the action row.
- Confirm by clicking ‘Request’.
- A request confirmation appears.
- Wait 2-3 minutes.
- Refresh the Application Service and the temporary licenses will show.
