1 - General settings
The color difference formula selection from the drop down list defines the dE-formula for Spot Color Strip V1 and Spot Color Strip V2.
The ISO Standard 12647-7:2016 defines the new ISO standard, which is in the meantime the default. This setting is a relict and obsolete.
The path in the measurement data field is the location where measurements of the spectroproofer are saved. The default path is: C:\Users\Public\GMG\ColorProof\ProofControl Output
2 - Proofer supporting direct label printing
The option Print label automatically on proofer can be set to: Always, Never or Only if verification passed. See as well: Why does GMG ProofControl Inline not print a label on the proof?
The Label Logo for the ProofControl inline label is per default this image:
C:\Users\Public\GMG\ColorProof\Images\GMGLogo.jpg. If you want to use a custom logo, see: How can I add my company logo to a proof?
3 - Proofer not supporting direct label printing
The option Print label automatically on external label printer can be set to: Always, Never or Only if verification passed.
The Label Logo for the label on the external printer is per default this image:
C:\Users\Public\GMG\ColorProof\Images\GMGLogo.jpg. If you want to use a custom logo, see: here
In the dropdown list label printing spooler an external label printer can be defined.
4 - Report printing
The Label Logo on the PDF report is per default this image:
C:\Users\Public\GMG\ColorProof\Images\GMGLogo.jpg. If you want to use a custom logo, see: here
From the drop down Report printing spooler you can select a printer on which the report shall be printed. If you want to save the report as a PDF file, choose "Microsoft Print to PDF".
5 - Failed proof standard verification
You can activate the function Set calibration set to "Not Calibrated" to prevent that further jobs are printed after the first job failed the verification. In combination with the function Output > Printers > Automatic Actions if Calibration Set Status is Changed to "Not Calibrated" > Start Automatic Calibration, the GMG AutoCali Wizard will start automatically, thus minimizing the downtime of a printer. It might however be useful to first check if all the nozzles are free.
You can alternatively trigger the automated action Set Printer on Hold if a measured control strip is not within the tolerances. It gives you the opportunity to check the printer before printing the next job. Click Continue to unpause the printer.
6 - Tolerances for spot colors
The maximum dE and average dE which are defined here overwrite the maximum and average tolerances that are defined for spot colors in the XML. It applies for the tolerances for OpenColor and DB3 spot colors.
