You can link your proof standard to an existing ProofControl standard XML or you can create a new ProofControl standard based on the target values of your proof profile or you can define previously measured jobs as reference.
How to create a new GMG ProofControl standard for a proof standard
- Navigate to: Database > Proofing Conditions > Proof Standards: choose your proof standard.
- Double-click the proof standard. A new dialog opens.
- Under Proof Verification > Default Control Strip: select your control strip.
- In the toolbar, click Generate From Proof Standard and choose a source: e.g. "From Contone MX4"
- In case you've chosen to take the target values "From measured jobs", select the corresponding jobs:
- Click OK. A new dialog opens, in which you can optionally adjust the rules:
- Click Save to close the window.
- The target values for Filter and Backing are automatically taken from the proof standard.
- Click Save & Close. Your new GMG ProofControl standard is now created and linked to the proof standard.
How to link an existing GMG ProofControl standard to a proof standard
- Navigate to: Database > Proofing Conditions > Proof Standards, choose your proof standard.
- Double-click the proof standard
- Under Proof Verification > Default Control Strip: select your control strip.
- In the toolbar, click Add.
- Click the Select File... button to add the path for the XML file that contains the target values. Select the corresponding XML and confirm by clicking Open.
- The GMG ProofControl standard is then added to the list, the target values for Filter and Backing are added automatically.
- Click Save & Close. Your GMG ProofControl standard is now linked to the proof standard.
