This error message points to a communication problem in the bidirectional communication between measurement device/printer and software. (Printing requires only a unidirectional communication. To send measurement values back to the software, a bidirectional communication is needed.)
Typically one of the following actions could solve the issue:
- Reset measurement device and restart:
- switch off the printer and disconnect from the power supply
- disconnect the measurement device from the printer (power and USB connection)
- disconnect the network cable (!! --> often this helps)
- check the position of the white tile
- connect measurement unit to the printer again
- restart the printer
- Update firmware
- Reset/change switch
- Directly connect PC and printer with new Ethernet cable. After that gradually extend the route to the printer to find out which cable or which switch is not working anymore.
